he Gen Lewis A. Armistead Camp #1847 holds its regular monthly meetings at the Salina Public Library, Technical Confrence Ctr Rm. 301 W. Elm, Salina, Kansas at 1:00-2:30 p.m. on the second  Saturday of each month.

    All meetings of the Camp are open to the public, and guests are always welcome!

Capt. Wm. Woodruff wrote a book about his Arkansas battery in the Confederate army. It was entitled "With the Light Guns". 

Here at Ft. Riley, Kansas the Armistead camp has no light guns. This is a picture of the Nuclear Launch Cannon located at Cannon Park overlooking Marshall Army Airfield at Ft. Riley. It was placed into service in 1957 and taken out of service in 1963. It was actually a rail-mounted nuclear cannon.
